Sin has left its mark upon us, even before it became our own.

The image of God has been dulled, lost, contaminated within the whole of humanity.
But
God, who is rich in mercy with his love wherewith he loved us has made us alive with Christ, by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4
And now, Paul says, we are being transformed, the image of God is being restored as we contemplate Jesus Christ, who is:
The image of the invisible God, the first born overall creation.
Colossians 1:15.
And
The Sun is the radiance of God’s glory, the exact representation of his being. Hebrews, 1:3
